Volkswagen Tayron seen running on foreign roads, this car will soon make its entry in India too!

Volkswagen is all set to make a mark in the Indian market with its new 7-seater SUV, the Tayron. After being unveiled at the 2024 Beijing Motor Show, this car will soon be seen running on Indian roads. Let’s read more about this car and its features.

★The Tayron is actually the bigger brother of Volkswagen’s latest Tiguan. Both cars are quite similar, but the Tayron has been designed specifically to accommodate 7 people. It has a length of 4735 mm, width of 1859 mm, and height of 1682 mm. The cabin has been given more space for a comfortable journey.

★Regarding the interior features of the Tayron, there isn’t much information available yet. However, reports suggest that its layout will be quite similar to the Tiguan. It is expected to have a digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen infotainment system, and a separate screen for the passengers in the front. Other features like wireless charging pad, 360-degree camera, and head-up display may also be included. In terms of safety, the Tayron is expected to come with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).

★In the global market, the Tayron is expected to come with several engine options, including petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid. However, in India, it may be launched with only one engine option, which could be a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. This engine could be paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox.

★The Tayron is expected to be launched in the Indian market in 2025. Reports suggest that it may be launched in India to keep its price slightly lower.

★In the Indian market, the Tayron will compete with 7-seater SUVs like the Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian. It will attract customers who are looking for a stylish, feature-loaded, and family-friendly SUV.
