Maruti Suzuki India, the country’s largest car manufacturer, has announced a price increase for its premium compact model, the Ignis. The Ignis is currently the car with the highest mileage in India. It is equipped with a powerful 1.2-liter 4-cylinder BS6 Phase 2 emission engine, which generates 82bhp power and 113Nm torque. The engine is now available with a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT gearbox. The company claims that the car is capable of delivering a mileage of 21 kmpl.
The Maruti Suzuki Ignis comes with several features, including a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. It also includes features such as SmartPlay Studio, steering-mounted controls, engine start/stop button, TFT screen with MID, seat belt alert, tire pressure monitoring, and auto ORVM. These features add to the luxurious feel of the car.
In terms of safety, the Ignis offers dual airbags, EBD with ABS, rear parking sensors, reverse camera, and ISOFIX child seat, among other safety features. These features ensure a safe driving experience.
The price of the Maruti Suzuki Ignis starts from INR 5.84 lakh and goes up to INR 8.16 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in six color options, including NEXA Blue, Lucent Orange, Silky Silver, Turquoise Blue, Glistening Grey, and New Pearl Midnight Black.
