Maruti eVX will be launched after eWX, featuring a wagon-like look.

Maruti is rapidly reducing its electric lineup. The company is planning to launch its biggest electric lineup in the near future, which will include hatchbacks and SUVs. Last year, Maruti showcased its electric SUV eVX at the Auto Expo and it is rumored to be launched this year. Maruti has presented the production model of its eVX electric car at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit this year. The eWX, which resembles a wagon, is included in this lineup. However, it has modern features and Maruti doesn’t want to leave the hatchback market either.

Maruti is also focusing on affordable electric cars and plans to launch them in the future. Therefore, it is doubtful that the newly launched eWX could be an electric hatchback that provides better range. The target is to launch it between 2026 and 2028, and it will be built on a new platform developed by Maruti Suzuki.

Maruti showcased a concept model of the eWX at the Mobility Show in Japan, which can pose a challenge for Tata as it offers a good range. Maruti can develop a new architecture for its small electric car, under which new electric cars will be manufactured. It will look quite different from petrol cars, which is why people are eagerly waiting for Maruti’s cars.

In addition to electric cars, Maruti Suzuki plans to invest ₹10,000 crores in India, considering the increasing craze among Indian customers. Maruti Suzuki will also launch its hybrid cars. The company has partnered with battery companies like Denso and Toshiba. Maruti’s hybrid cars could be popular in the Indian market as they can offer good range even on electric power. They will also have modern features.
