Hero Honda Splendor: A Journey from 1994 to the Present Day

In 1994, Hero Honda launched the Splendor for the first time in the Indian market. Since then, it has become the heartbeat of Indians. At that time, Splendor was considered the best bike in the commuter segment. Over the past 29 years, Splendor has undergone significant changes in the Indian market.

It had a top speed of about 80 kilometers per hour and was priced at 42,000 rupees. People loved this bike, and it was capable of giving tough competition to Yamaha RX100.

Hero Splendor has crossed the milestone of selling 12 crore units in 29 years. It took one year to sell 55,000 units of this bike when it was launched in 1994.

After that, the bike gained momentum, and the next 10 lakh units were sold in just 3 years. It took the company 12 years to sell the first one crore units, while the remaining 11 crore units were sold in just 17 years.
