CNG Motorcycle – Bajaj’s new bike will now run on CNG, launch coming soon.

Bajaj, the largest motorcycle company in India, is introducing CNG-powered motorcycles as a solution to rising fuel prices. This move comes as a relief for motorcycle riders who are also feeling the pinch of inflation. Bajaj plans to launch the country’s first CNG motorcycle, the Platina Bike, which will range from 100cc to 160cc. Development of the bike is in its final stages, and the company aims to launch it within the next six months.

The CNG motorcycle prototypes have already been created, and the bike is expected to offer a mileage of 120km with a 1.2kg tank. Bajaj aims to expand its portfolio with cleaner fuel options, including EV, ethanol-blended fuel, LPG, and CNG. Initially, the company plans to produce around 1 to 1.20 lakh CNG motorcycles annually, with plans to increase production to 2 lakh units later on. The production of the CNG motorcycles is taking place at the Aurangabad plant.

The Executive Director of Bajaj stated that CNG is a more environmentally friendly fuel compared to diesel, as it emits negligible particulate matter. However, it is not a zero-emission fuel. Bajaj is also working on models that run on LPG and compressed natural gas (CNG), as well as ethanol-blended fuel. This move towards cleaner fuel options aims to provide consumers with a range of choices and contribute to a greener future.

In conclusion, Bajaj’s introduction of CNG motorcycles is a significant step towards addressing the issue of rising fuel prices. The company’s focus on cleaner fuel options demonstrates its commitment to sustainability and providing consumers with environmentally friendly alternatives. With the launch of the Platina Bike, Bajaj is set to make history in the Indian motorcycle industry.
